Frequently asked questions

Is Snap-A-Verse really free?
Yes — every feature, for every person, with no ads and no subscription. Snap-A-Verse is free to keep God's Word accessible to everyone. If it blesses you, there's an optional tip jar in Settings → Leave a Tip; tips support development but never unlock anything.
Does Snap-A-Verse work offline?
Fully. All 66 books of the World English Bible are stored on your device, and text recognition runs on-device too. Airplane mode, camp, basement fellowship hall — everything works.
Why isn't the camera recognizing text?
Ensure good lighting, hold your device steady, and make sure the text is in focus. The app works best with printed or projected text; very stylized fonts and handwriting are harder to read. You can also import a photo or screenshot instead of scanning live.
Which Bible translation does Snap-A-Verse use?
The World English Bible (WEB) — a modern-English, public-domain translation. Because it's public domain, Snap-A-Verse can include the complete text offline, for free.
Can I sync verses across devices?
Not yet. Snap-A-Verse currently keeps everything on a single device by design — nothing you save ever leaves your iPhone. If cross-device sync ships in a future update, it will be announced in the App Store notes.
How do I delete saved verses or folders?
Swipe left on any verse or folder in your library to reveal the delete option. Deleted items can't be recovered, since no copy exists anywhere but your device.
