Our privacy commitment
Snap-A-Verse is a privacy-first Bible study app. We believe your spiritual journey is personal, and your data should remain yours. This policy explains our minimal data practices and your rights. The short version: Snap-A-Verse runs entirely on your device, requires no account, shows no ads, and does not track you.
Information we access
- Camera access: used solely for on-device text recognition (OCR). Images are processed locally on your iPhone and are never transmitted to us or anyone else.
- Photo library access (optional): only when you choose to import a screenshot or save a session photo. We never scan your photo library automatically, and iOS lets you limit access to only the photos you select.
- Crash reports: anonymous diagnostic data, provided through Apple's standard crash reporting (only if you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in iOS Settings), helps us fix bugs.
- Tip jar purchases: Snap-A-Verse is free. If you choose to leave an optional tip, Apple processes the entire transaction. We never see your payment details or identity — only an anonymous confirmation that a tip was made.
Information we DON'T collect
- Your saved Bible verses or study notes
- Your folder organization or personal annotations
- Photos you capture or import
- Your location or contacts
- Any personally identifiable information
Snap-A-Verse contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no trackers of any kind.
Data storage
All your Bible verses, folders, notes, and session content are stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage. We do not operate servers that store your personal Bible study data. If you use Apple's standard device backups (iCloud Backup or computer backups), your app data may be included in those backups under your own Apple account — we never have access to it.
Third-party services
Snap-A-Verse uses minimal services, all provided by Apple:
- Apple StoreKit: processes optional tip jar purchases
- iOS crash reporting: anonymous crash reports to improve stability
Your rights
- All your data is under your control, on your device
- Delete the app to remove all local data immediately
- Enable or disable camera and photo library access at any time in iOS Settings
- Reach us with any privacy concern via the Support page
Children's privacy
Snap-A-Verse is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13, because we do not collect personal data at all.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will note any changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
