End User License Agreement

Effective date: July 12, 2026 · Your license to use Snap-A-Verse on Apple devices.

Important notice

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and Snap-A-Verse ("we," "us," or "our") for the Snap-A-Verse mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. License grant

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Snap-A-Verse grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Download and install the App on Apple devices that you own or control
  • Use the App for your personal, non-commercial Bible study purposes
  • Access and use all features of the App, which is provided free of charge

2. License restrictions

You agree NOT to:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the App
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices on the App
  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction while using the App
  • Attempt to bypass any security features or usage limitations
  • Use the App to distribute malware or harmful code

3. Ownership

The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Snap-A-Verse and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. This Agreement does not grant you any ownership rights in the App.

4. User content

You retain all rights to content you create using the App (notes, annotations, photos). However, you grant Snap-A-Verse a limited license to display this content within the App for the purpose of providing the service to you.

5. Optional tip purchases

The App is free and fully functional at no cost. It offers optional, one-time tip jar purchases as a way to support development. Tips are:

  • Entirely voluntary — they unlock no features and confer no additional rights
  • Processed through Apple's App Store payment system and subject to Apple's payment terms
  • Consumable purchases, and therefore not restorable to other devices
  • Non-refundable except as required by applicable law

6. Updates and modifications

Snap-A-Verse may, from time to time:

  • Provide updates, upgrades, bug fixes, patches, and other modifications to the App
  • Change or discontinue any features or functionality of the App
  • Modify this Agreement with notice through the App or App Store

Your continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.

7. Privacy and data collection

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes our data practices. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPVERSE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF CONTENT
  • UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPVERSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL
  • DAMAGES EXCEEDING THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM

THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY EVEN IF SNAPVERSE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Snap-A-Verse and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of this Agreement.

11. Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination:

  • You must stop using the App
  • Delete all copies of the App from your devices
  • All licenses granted to you will immediately terminate

12. Third-party acknowledgments

The App uses the following third-party components:

  • Apple iOS SDK and frameworks
  • World English Bible (public domain)
  • Various open-source libraries under their respective licenses

13. Apple-specific terms

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • This Agreement is between you and Snap-A-Verse, not Apple
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App
  • Apple is not responsible for any product liability claims
  • Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this Agreement with the right to enforce it

14. Export control

You may not use or export the App except as authorized by United States law and the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App was obtained.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.

16. Entire agreement

This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Snap-A-Verse regarding the App and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.

17. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
